This week Paihia School had our very first Duffy assembly. We had a special guest called Zinkie, who is from a book. She was dressed up in colourful clothes. She came to talk about Duffy books, imagination and why we should read. We had to sing a song that was made for Duffy books. Duffy books is something that the school subsidises so every student gets to have two free books. A Duffy assembly is something where we thank Duffy books for giving us books. One person from each class gets chosen and they get their books in front of the school, and the rest back in class. I enjoyed having Zinkie come. It was really fun to have her.
Hi AJ, my name is Jada-Rae and I am a Year 6 at Kawakawa Primary School.
ReplyDeleteI like the way you explained what Duffy is all about and how you talked about the Duffy assembly you had. We were supposed to have them in our school on Tuesday but they couldn’t come. It looks like we missed a good show. Maybe next time you could add a few more photos.
