Bay bush action

In Te Ngahere this term we have been learning about Te Ngahere the bush. Last friday we had some
visitors come from Bay Bush Action to talk to us about how we can help our birds and animals. There
names were Brad and Stella. They came with two stuffed possums and also they came with a kiwi stoat
and hedgehog They came with some traps they showed us how to set the traps and how they
go off. Then they brought some rat traps for us to set around the outside of our school because they
wanted us to be the first rat free school in New Zealand. I enjoyed looking at the traps go off.

Silver eye

In Te Ngahere  we have been learning about tree, birds, Insects and animals in the
Ngahere so we had to make a presentation about a bird first. I did silvereye bird with Tia and
Isaiah M. I enjoyed doing this presentation because it was fun to learn about this bird to show
some learning we made a song. What I think I did well was putting in the important information
not just information that is boring and words I can not understand. I hope this presentation
helps you to know all about slivereye the bird
